The Business Development Manager (BDM) focuses on representing and expanding the Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) and Commercial Drug Product Manufacturing Services (DPS) business for Mikart. This role within our organization is directly responsible for driving sales revenue growth through the development and implementation of strategies to generate sales from new and existing accounts in the assigned territory. The BDM builds an internal and external network that enables client success and identifies new target clients, follows through on leads from a variety of sources. The BDM will focus on winning new projects for our Pharmaceutical Development and Commercial manufacturing services. Duties include but are not limited the following:

  • New Business Development including identifying opportunities with new clients through interaction and following up on leads
  • Creating and executing sales programs for new prospective clients to increase awareness of Mikart’s service offering and key differentiators from our competition
  • Identifying and presenting our value proposition, including opportunities for strategic bundling of our services.
  • Management of current relationships
  • Enable a winning solution for the client objectives
Job Requirements:

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 10-15 years’ experience in a business development role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Possesses a strong network of business development contacts
  • Comfortable managing all aspects of business development in a pharma environment
  • Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills required
  • Demonstration of sustained, high performance in current and past positions
  • Demonstrated teamwork ability through effective working relationships
  • Ability to travel within the defined territory and based on business needs, to trade shows, team meetings etc.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to function in a rapidly changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • A flexible work schedule is required.
  • Walking, sitting for long periods of time, and repetitive hand motions.
  • This role is based in Atlanta.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the defined territory, as well as based on business need (trade shows, team meetings etc.)
