Job Description:

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of all personnel in Mikart’s Manufacturing department.  Responsibilities include the following:

  • Staff area with appropriate personnel to accomplish specific manufacturing tasks required. Supervise the work performed by the manufacturing personnel on a continuous basis.
  • Train personnel in proper procedures for cleaning and maintenance of work areas, and for operations performed. Assure that all manufacturing personnel perform duties in accordance with batch instructions, cGMPs, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Train manufacturing personnel in safety procedures, and maintain the manufacturing areas in accordance with generally accepted safe operating standards.
  • Assure that all logbooks, manufacturing records, and other official documents are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Review master records for correctness and completeness for batches processed by manufacturing personnel.
  • Sample controlled substances. Supervise the transfer of controlled substances entering or leaving manufacturing areas and assure that products leaving manufacturing department are stored in properly designated areas.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve productivity and quality. Participate in the identification, sourcing, and qualification of new or replacement equipment.
  • Periodically review written procedures and revise to match current procedures that are specific to the related departments.
  • Ensure that routine supplies (filters, spare parts, etc..) are kept in inventory.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and at least five years manufacturing experience, or other appropriate combination of education and experience.  Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience, in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.  Proven leadership and organizational skills.  Proven communication and employee relations skills necessary.
